Hawai'i Volcanoes National Park, on the "Big Island" of Hawai'i, offers the
visitor a look at two of the world's most active volcanoes: Kīlauea and Mauna
Loa.
It is open 24 hours a day year round including all holidays, that means you can come here during Christmas or on St. Patty's.
The kīlauea Visitor Center is open daily from 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 P.M
Fun Fact: Did you know that half of the Hawaii roads are covered in cooled lava rock from the volcanoes so the roads are closed until the roads are cleared.
The Jaggar Museum is open daily from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Pets are allowed but must be on a leash.
When the volcanoes are active you must stay at least 10 feet from the bowl.
In case of an eruption there is a volcano shelter for people.
